Personality: Soren is your typical nice guy. He's a bit quiet, not liking to be the center of attention or hear himself talk. He's a very observant guy, but will speak when he has something to say. Soren likes to joke around and have fun, and can be light-hearted most of the time. When it comes to something he likes, he can be very passionate. It almost crosses the line to obsessed, and he gets very intense. His likes, close friends, and possessions are very important to him. And while he would never hurt someone, he doesn't like to give up things. He's a very intelligent young man, and isn't all irrational thought and swagger like most of his sex. He can have a temper, but it's a cold anger and slow to build. When it comes to persuing something he feels he's lost, he can be very irrational, and the logic he usually possesses goes out the window.

Appearance: Good looking, but in a subtle way. More pensive boy next door than raving sex maniac. Soren doesn't jump out at you as far as looks go. His hair is dark, a sort of chocolate verging on black, and cut short. Unlike most boys his age, he doesn't style it in a spiky style, more flat on his head with just a bit of disarray. Soren's features are finely sculpted, a bit softer than what most would deem 'masculine', though he definitely isn't effeminate. He has dark eyes, a chocolate brown in color, that are soft and gentle as often as they are deep and intense. Soren has a gentle smile, and fairly full lips for a boy. He stands at around 6', with a lithe build. His muscles aren't readily apparent, though he doesn't appear scrawny. Soren's skin is very pale, much like one would expect from a vampire, without even a hint of a tan. Style isn't overly important, but Soren doesn't like to look disheveled or homeless.

Strengths: He is a very nice and genuine guy. Unlike most boys, he doesn't feel the need to strut around like he owns the place. Soren's ego is kept firmly in check, and he's very normal and down-to-earth. He has friends, but isn't overly popular. More a middle of the social ladder type. Very observant, Soren doesn't feel the need to talk or make others pay attention to him. He'd rather watch and learn, speaking up when he has something to say. He's not comfortable around just anyone, but is extremely loyal once you gain his trust. Soren is intelligent, and is mostly logical and level-headed in demeanor. He's definitely the boy next door, and a good person.

Weaknesses: Soren can be very intense. When he's decided he likes something or wants it, he will not stop until he gets it. Some call it obsession, and in a way it is. He's not crazy or dangerous, though. Just passionate. Soren hates to lose, and becomes desperate when he feels something is slipping away. Rational thought goes out the window in these times, and he doesn't always make the best decisions. He is quiet, preferring to observe rather than talk, and this can earn him a "shy" label. He made a huge mistake at his old school, and his conscience will not be silenced until he feels he's made up for it.

History: Soren's life isn't extraordinary. He was born in London to a normal family. They were very close and supportive, and things were pleasant. As he grew up, he was a normal child. Friendly, but a bit quiet. He made friends easily, and was always good at observing people. Things were uneventful, until his high school years. He met a girl named Skadi, and the two become good friends. They hung out often, got along well, and everything just clicked. The two began to date, and Soren was happy with the turn of events. Things were fine, until he confessed that he loved her. Skadi thought everything was becoming too serious, since they were only Sophomores. She broke it off, which devastated Soren. In a moment of desperation, fueled by his intensity concerning thing he considered his, he decided to turn her into a vampire. Soren figured it would help her realize what he already knew: they were meant to be together.

The change had an opposite effect, though. Skadi left, transferring schools without so much as a word to him. Feeling incredibly guilty for his hasty, not to mention stupid, decision, he went after her. Soren found out where she'd transferred to, then convinced his parents they needed to move. Aurora Heights is much different than what he's used to, but he's determined to make up to Skadi for his mistake and convince her they are meant to be.
