Personality: A party boy notorious for his dating habits, he only dates one girl at a time, but never lets the relationship last more than a week. A week for him is long enough to enjoy his girlfriend but short enough so he wouldn't get emotionally attached. He was burned by an ex-girlfriend from Ashwood and so to protect himself, he doesn't date girls very long. He's a thrill seeker and will take any dare that people ask him to do. He doesn't like to be called a coward and will do whatever it takes to prove otherwise. Shay is the life of a party and human interaction as well as risking his own life are ways for him to feel alive. He's dull on the inside and hates to be left to his own thoughts. He's not suicidal but had been at one point. But no party is complete with Shay in attendance.

Appearance: Shay is attractive in the party boy sense. His hair is dark blond and cut short, but if left to grow has some waves to it. He stands at six feet and two inches, tall and lithe with a skateboarders build. He isn't big or builky but slim, fit, toned to utter perfection. His abs are the kind girls want to do their laundry on, and it doesn't take much convincing for him to whip off his shirt or go naked. You just have to dare him. His skin is tan from being in the sun often, a lovely bronze color that seems remarkable to have in New England. Shay's face is handsome, classic American features with lips that are perfectly kissable. His clothing style is usually preppy mixed with some punk added on. He has worn a dress and make up before but it was for a dare.

Strengths: Being a shifter means that Shay is far stronger than a normal human and he's faster, can smell better, see better and heal very quickly. He is comfortable with what he is so doesn't have any problem eating the body organs of an animal in order to survive. Shay is popular because he is fun. He's energetic, sometimes overwhelmingly so, and personable, people like him because he will make you laugh. A class clown at times, he's not afraid to make himself the butt of a joke in order to make other people join in the laughter. When he is in a relationship with a girl, he's sincere and sweet, but guarded. He's the perfect arm ornament for any girl because of his good looks and attractive personality. With sports and physical activity he is a great advantage to have on any team and light on his feet.

Weaknesses: His obvious weakness is not so obvious. He needs people. To be noticed, to do things that make him feel alive. Daisy burned him bad when she dumped him, and he was a shell of a person for a few months of his life. So he is constantly in a conversation and hates silence, he needs someone to at least talk to him, or even just look at him. Being a shifter silver hurts like hell and can kill him, but so could undergoing numerous severe injuries. Shay has a reptuation for doing whatever you tell him to, you just have to dare him. Some people use it for their own amusement and get him in trouble. Shay, being who he is, can make people think of him as immature, which he sort of is, and foolish, which he also sort of his. But if they know his back history, like some of his close friends do, they understand him a little better. But he can get very annoying when he is seeking attention.

History: Shay grew up in Aurora Heights and was actually a pretty normal kid. For a shifter. He hung out with his friends, climbed trees and flew around as a hawk when he felt like it. He hung out with people from Ashwood and Aurora Heights alike, ignoring the faux pas of his actions because he had a cousin who attended Ashwood. It was at an Ashwood party his sophmore year that he met Daisy Rousseau. Falling in love with her, convincing himself that she had to be his soulmate, he became devoted to her for the time they dated. But when she dumped him flat, he was shocked, calling her constantly, begging her to take him back. She eventually told him she never loved him and that she only used him because she thought he was cute, he told her it was okay if she kept using him. However she refused him over and over, to the point where he contemplated taking his own life as a sign of devotion. But when he caught her making out with her new boyfriend in a car, he decided he wasn't going to allow himself to be hurt again.

That was when Shay picked up his new policy on dating. It can't last more than a week. He also became very outgoing and started to take dares, as if asking death to take him. He only did things as dares, to get people to notice him, talk about him. He also became the life of the party in order to keep friends around him, hating to be left alone as Daisy had made him feel. During the last couple of years he picked up skateboarding and proved to have a talent in it, enough to get him signed as a professional. He's somewhat of a self-made celebrity because of this, but only to those that keep track of extreme sports. He doesn't frequent Ashwood parties anymore, at least when he hears Daisy will be in attendance. Over the summer he got a DUI and since he was underage got in bigger trouble, but got off easy because it was his first offence...of that kind. He usually gets in trouble over things like indescent exposure for skinny dipping or trespassing.
