Personality: Nina is Aurora Heights' resident tomboy. She's tough, she's smart mouthed, and she's pretty much just one of the guys. Nina has never had a problem fitting in amongst the guys, though they've only viewed her as one of them since forever. Nina however is struggling with the fact that she wants to behave more feminine and delicate and she wants guys to look at her as if she's an actual girl. This of course stemming from a crush she has built on Luca Delacroix. Nina's always had a personality of her own for being impulsive and very boyish, but more recently has done her best to tone it down severely. She's now a mess of boyish behavior when she forgets about her goal to act more girly and acting like any othe pretty princess from the right side of the tracks. Some people think her parents brainwashed her, due to the drastic change in clothing style and her attempts at being girlish.

Appearance: Nina's hair is a mix of dark browns and lighter ones from the time she spends in the sun, her skin is a natural tan color and her face has a slight pink to the cheeks. She has a heart shaped face with wide green eyes, a button nose and bow like lips usually tugged into a smirk. Her eyes brows are plucked and arched to bring out the shape of her eyes. Nina wears her hair down in soft waves now, instead of the ratty ponytail she had before. Her face usually has some makeup, a bit of lip gloss, masacara and eye liner, even some eye shadow. She's hard to recognize sometimes for classmates because they are very used to a different looking Nina. Her body is still the same sporty shape with not too much curve, but fit and slender. Her clothing has gone from the normal track clothing and sweats (or jeans and T-shirt) to skirts, lacey tops and heeled shoes. She's having a hard time with the heeled shoes.

Strengths: Nina has always been a major personality at AHHS and people know and love (or sometimes hate) her. She's always been someone to speak her mind, but she often let herself be intimidated by the likes of Lilly Hotchkiss or her goons. Nina is fun and boisterous, a goofball and fun loving. While she's not like that all the time so much, she is still the same girl underneath it all, it just takes some time to prod it out of her. Nina is athletic and strong naturally, she's always been active in sports or going out to do physical activities, because she enjoys them. She knows all the trails at West Knott Park like the back of her hand, and also knows a great deal about physical fitness and howt he body works.

Weaknesses: Nina's current situation of wanting to behave more like her gender is probably her greatest weakness. She has become increasingly paranoid about her own personal appearance and is afraid that others will mock her for her sudden change in appearance. Instead of finding ways to pick up girly behavior, she dove right into the world of lipgloss and hair curlers, which she is still trying to adjust to since it was such a drastic change. Nina is also human and while she may be athletic and strong, she is nowhere near as strong as vampires or shapeshifers can be. She also used to be very strong willed and resolute but now is constantly second guessing herself and thus vampires would probably find her to be a much easier target to feed off of.

History: Nina's parents were both hardworking, but born into wealth. Her great grandfather was a big steel mogul and made a fortune for himself. They originally bought their large house in Aurora Heights as a vacation home, but eventually moved out of the bigger cities after it was proving to be too hectic. Nina's own father spread his wings after he was left with a large inheritance and most of the business from his dad, and is dabbling more in oil and other big money businesses. Nina grew up however a complete tomboy and her father was never home to put his foot down about her acting like a lady. She made friends easily and for most of her childhood, her best friend was Shane Wolverton who lived on the "wrong" side of the tracks. However he started to get into fights more often and illegal things, their differences tearing their friendship apart, but puberty and other forces helped a great deal too.

It was during her sophmore year of high school that she saw and instantly "fell in love" with Luca Delacroix. But it wasn't until the summer before her junior year that she finally built up the courage to change her boyish ways in order to try to appeal to the captain of the hockey team, who is the main subject of most of her fantasies.
