Personality: Max hates Aurora Heights and would like to run away. He's counting down the days until he can finish up High School and go to college far, far away. His father is Mayor of the City and, thus, pushed Max his entire life through certain social circles. Max hates snotty know it all types who hang out at the country club and act as though they are better. He doesn't care about being Aurora Heights Junior Class President and only does what is required of him because it will both shut his father up and look good on a college application. He sort of breezes through life without really caring. No one would expect it from him - because people seem to make his personality up to what they'd expect - but Max is actually very shy. Any girlfriends he's had have practically been handed to him.

Appearance: Tall, dark, and handsome don't even begin to cover it. His hair is like dark chocolate and his eyes are a bright hazel. The hair is cut in a modern long shag that gives him the look of a billboard male model for a preppy clothier. His skin tans easily and never burns but can be any varying shade in between. His hands are large, arms covered in muscles that you think he's older than he is, with strong legs and a deep voice to boot. He wears the typical clothes found at the mall, jeans, t-shirts, and the latest in athletic shoes.

Strengths: He's smart, handsome, and good at sports. He's friends with popular, pretty, people and girls often crush on him. Except the popular guy persona isn't really Max. No one knows it - especially people who he hangs out with (not particularly by choice, obviously) but Max volunteers at various homeless shelters, animal hospitals, and so on. He's a good guy who just wants to get out in the world and make a difference. Although he might be strong and popular, Max is much more than that and only wishes to be allowed to show the true geek inside.

Weaknesses: Almost everyone expects him to be someone else. Most of the school high fives him in the halls and act like he's the good guy popular jock who parties on the weekends in between girlfriends. Max can hardly ever be himself. He can't stay home and study, read, play games. He's expected to be someone else. So he has to put up a lot of fronts and hates every second of it. He's turned slightly bitter and sarcastic, always throwing in comments that other people bounce off as being a joker. He hardly has any close friends - no one who knows him for his own thoughts and feelings.

History: Max's mother was killed in a train accident when he was 8 years old. His mothers bestfriend Ruby and her daughter moved from Winthrop to help out his father and a little over a year later married him. Max's world was forever turned upside down and in more ways than he ever realized. Ruby and her daughter happen to be Witches, although good, they do belong to the Night World. Max has never felt comfortable with them and doesn't understand why, but has learned to ignore it as best he can. His father became Mayor of the city and, since then, life has been turned even more upside down. H

He became popular in junior high when he started playing for the schools football team. He became so good that he was an instant addition to the popular kids life and has been there ever since. However, Max is pretty sure it was all his fathers doing. Most of the popular kids are annoying to Max, and he doesn't even like them, but they are always there in his face.
