Personality: The past few months have been quite disruptive for Cameo. She was used to the freedoms and punishments dished out by her father, and is now floundering in her new environment. She is neither popular nor unpopular, and that doesn’t set well with Cammie. She is the type of person who needs a ‘place’, a status, to feel comfortable and confident in regards to herself. She is spoiled and selfish, and she can be quite harsh if she doesn’t get her way. Bitchy even, if you want to take it that far. Yet, Cameo is not uncaring and has boundaries she will not cross under any circumstance. She will not defy her Mother, nor will she scheme against those who cannot defend themselves. Cammie likes to think that that is because they pose no threat or challenge, but secretly she harbors this desire to do no harm to those more unfortunate than she is. Currently she is a bundle of discontent and confusion as she tries to find a new path in Aurora Heights.

Appearance: Cammie resembles a delicate, China Doll. A petite heart-shaped face is the setting for a stubborn chin, high-boned, rosy-hued cheeks, a tiny button nose and cool lips which are normally set into a stern line. Her eyes, a shocking icy blue, blaze beneath a cap of pale butter blonde hair which gently falls to below her shoulder blades. Cameo has a surprisingly girlish figure for one so small; her height reaching the 5’2” mark and her weight cresting at 98 pounds. She adores clothing and you will find her in almost any shade. Her style ranges from vintage, to gothic and back to trendy.

Strengths: Cammie could be a great go-to girl, a leader that gets things done, if she would just let go of her propensity to lie and scheme to accomplish her goals. She has a well of inner strength to have even the miniscule core values that she does after being raised by such a worthless individual as Wurt Devane is. Cameo would never abuse those she feels are more timid than she. It would be offensive to her sensibilities to hurt a child or elder; anyone who cannot put up a fight. She is also a great observer, absorbing even the smallest details in what goes on around her.

Weaknesses: Deep down, she is a lost little girl who doesn’t understand why her Father would throw her away like trash. There is a part of her that believes she deserved the disdain and physical abuse that was given to her. This has given her low self esteem which is in odds to her presumption that she must have, and be, the very best. Cameo will also always find ways to justify her actions when caught lying or cheating.

History: When Cameo was a toddler, Wurt Devane drove his ‘worthless’ wife Rakel out and filed for divorce. This was after beating the poor woman practically to a pulp after years of physical and mental abuse. Rakel never filed charges, nor was she capable of fighting for her daughter, being that she had none of the money or influence of her former spouse. Over the years she did try to keep tabs on the child though she re-married and had more offspring of her own.

Cammie herself was raised in the lap of luxury; only the best for a Devane. She was enrolled in an elite private school, always had the best clothes, took the most expensive vacations, and was ushered around by a personal driver. Unfortunately, she too suffered under the hand of her Sire, just as her mother had. And Wurt had no compulsions about how long or hard the battery was since he knew, as a Lamia, the young girl would heal rapidly. Oddly, even through the torment, Cameo became the mental mirror image of her father. She idolized him; the way he accomplished his goals by whatever means necessary. She too learned to scheme; to lie, cheat and steal her way to the top. Top of the heap is where she resided until her father brought home his newest toy, a woman by the name of Dalila; barely ten years her senior. That is when she found out she was being shipped off to her mother.

Since arriving in Aurora Heights, Cameo has found adjusting difficult. No more late nights and doing as she pleased; she now has rules and curfews. Nor does she have friends or a power base. But here, with her new ‘family’, there is also no abuse. For the first time she has seen that true kindness, just as much as deviousness, can get you what you want.
