Aurora Heights History
Aurora Heights is named after the founders wife, Aurora Harman, thus giving it the secret history that it was founded by Night World colonists. Under a new world this group of Night Worlders wanted to blend in with the humans. They were generally kind, helpful, and understanding. Aurora Heights became a big fishing town and thrived enough that the Night Worlders wanted to open up a private school to teach both Night Worlders and Humans with the power of supernatural history behind them.
However there was the obstacle that another group of Night Worlders had set up not too far away on Graves Island, but had been tucked away for many years cut off from the rest of the world. Before the time the private school could be completed, many of the wealthy Night Worlders of Aurora Heights had left (possibly paid off, bought, or blackmailed) for Graves Island. The city lost a lot of its funding and the school wasn't complete until the late 1800s when it was officially converted into the cities High School.
